EBS Warranty Processing

EBS is constantly aiming to improve both its products and service and as a consequence we are making some changes to how we process warranty returns.

With immediate effect, parts accompanied by a fully completed EBS warranty form (electronic valves will require a complete diagnostics report also) will be processed and diagnosed at our own test facilities in accordance with our terms and conditions, a copy of which has been attached for your records.

We understand how contentious an issue returns can be and we have no wish to keep either you or your customer waiting for reports.

Our aim is to have a comprehensive and unbiased report complete with photographic evidence (where required) and test result returned to you within one calendar month.

As detailed in our Warranty terms and conditions we are happy to return any parts to their respective manufacturer if indicated on the warranty form. However when the part is out of our control we cannot be held responsible for the time taken, report quality, findings and any costs levied by the manufacturer.

Warranty Policy Terms and Conditions

This warranty Policy applies to all products supplied by EBS. Warranty claims will be tested as per the EBS procedures (a copy of these procedures can be supplied upon request).
EBS will replace or credit the acquisition cost of any unit that is determined by EBS to be defective.

The legitimacy of any warranty claim will be considered in the understanding that:

  • The unit is returned within the timescales laid out in the EBS terms and conditions of sale.
  • The unit is accompanied by a fully completed warranty claim form.
  • The unit has been installed and maintained by qualified personnel in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer's instructions that may be unique to any given unit.

The warranty policy will not apply if:

  • In the judgement of EBS, the unit(s) or part(s) have been subject to damage by accident, fire, misuse, negligence or attempted repair by a third party.
  • Product identification labels, plates or inscriptions have been altered, removed, obliterated or damaged in any way.
  • Corrosion and/ or the ingestion of foreign material, which is considered detrimental to the proper function of any air, mechanical or hydraulic part, unless it can be determined to be assignable to a defect in material or manufacturing process.

This warranty policy does not cover:

  • Claims where an air or hydraulic part shows ingestion of foreign material into the part. This includes liquids, solid materials and alcohol-based products.
  • Claims for Air Dryers or Air Processing Units where the desiccant cartridge is found to be contaminated with oil, water or any other foreign matter.
  • Claims for products where failure is caused by lack of servicing or maintenance of the product.
  • Products that are not installed correctly or are incorrect for application.
  • Claims resulting from the improper fitting of mating products not supplied by EBS
  • Claims for electronic parts that are not accompanied by a full and complete diagnostic report.
  • Claims which are not accompanied by a fully completed EBS Warranty Claim Form.

The liability under this warranty policy shall not exceed the purchase price paid. EBS is not responsible for "down time" expenses, cargo damage or any other business costs or losses resulting from failure or use of parts supplied by EBS

Should the customer request a report from any manufacturer other than EBS this mist be clearly stated on the Warranty Claim Form. The customer must accept any subsequent charge levied by that manufacturer.

Any claim that has already been investigated by an EBS warranty representative cannot be subsequently submitted for a non-EBS branded manufacturer's report.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LABOUR

Your statutory rights are unaffected by this policy.
